Jonathan C. Rich has worked with international organizations for the past nine years, and prior to that, on U.S. political campaigns. As the Director of Strategic Communications for Ted Turner's United Nations Foundation, Mr. Rich advised the Executive Office of then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on his U.S. communications and outreach efforts, as well as advising and assisting the offices of numerous other senior UN officials. Upon leaving the UN Foundation, Mr. Rich founded his own strategic communications, media relations and advocacy consulting firm, JCR Communications, Inc. five years ago. His clients have included UNICEF, UNAIDS, Pew Charitable Trusts, the MacArthur Foundation, the World Bank and other UN agencies, international NGO’s and large international foundations. Prior to his work in the international arena Mr. Rich worked in a variety of capacities on a number of both statewide and local political, issue and advocacy campaigns around the U.S. His roles on these campaigns ranged from campaign manager to field director. Jonathan’s campaign experience has led him to work in a several politically important U.S. states including California, Washington State, Iowa and New Hampshire.
